Project

Highlights

MarComms is about more than words and design.

It is about taking the essence of a project and amplifying it in a way that honors everyone's effort while understanding the broader business objectives.

This selection of projects will give you a taste of my experience in branding, copywriting, web design, video production, project management, business development, and more.

Behind all of these samples were colleagues, stakeholders, and donors with whom I collaborated to create successes of which we could all be proud.

Faith and Media Fellows Inaugural Cohort

The Faith and Media Initiative, which works to ensure faith is represented accurately and authentically across news and entertainment, launched its first Fellowship in 2025. A cohort of nine thought leaders drawn from journalism, academia, film, business, and human-rights work, and from a range of religious traditions, the goal was to improve the way faith is portrayed in the media.

As lead consultant, I helped guide the inaugural cohort, partnered with the public relations team, and co-produced the Fellows' first convening in Oxford, UK.

I also worked closely with individual Fellows to develop and place the editorials that introduced their voices to a wider public.

Sing Unto God

In 2022, I co-founded Sing Unto God, an organization dedicated to restoring the pipeline of Jewish communal songleaders.

I developed the brand, logo, style guide, and website. Assuming the role of Executive Director in 2025, my work is in fundraising and business development, program partnership, and brand awareness.

I also produced and edited the video at right from Sing Unto God's Hava Nashira Jewish Songleader Conference.

Now in its fifth year, Sing Unto God continues to grow and thrive, having significant impact on Jewish communal life.

About Man & God & Law

How does it feel to try and cut through the clutter? There is no shortage of content about Bob Dylan's music and life. I worked with Dr. Stephen Daniel Arnoff to create a unique and compelling brand around his podcast, which grew into a book published in May 2022. This included graphic design, web development, digital content, social media advertising, and a comprehensive creative strategy. ManGodLaw.com.

Northern Virginia Family Services

Of many projects, this was one of my favorites. It became clear from surveys and conversations that the work of the EDI Committee wasn't clear or communicated well.

I worked with the committee to develop and design a carefully-curated newsletter spotlighting the important EDI work happening in the organization, sending a clear message to staff that this work—and their unique experiences—mattered.

Youth Division-

Union for Reform Judaism

The challenge was to take our familiar annual brochure and refresh it in a way that echoed the past and embraced the future.

The piece had to be approved by almost 20 people, and by working with them closely from the outset, I created buy-in that made the process smoother.

Further, this piece was complemented by a distribution strategy that saved the organization thousands of dollars over previous years, and a sustained digital campaign that built on its design and themes.

The Center for Arts Education

I inherited this project when I took the position. The advocacy director had developed the bones of this informational packet, but it was too dense and the organization was using an outside designer with little understanding of or investment in the parent brand.

I worked with the Director to understand his goals for the project. I brought the design in-house, working with a graphic designer that I had hired for the team.

And we set up an external review process with the target audience to make sure we were talking to them in ways that mattered and to which they would be receptive, leading to edits and improvements that sharpened the final product.

JTA News Service

The almost 100-year old Jewish Telegraphic Agency was in the middle of a years-long process of digitizing its print archive when a major shake-up in the organization occurred.

Faced with impending funder deadlines and limited staff, I took on the completion of the project in 2012. I hired a research librarian to collaborate with me on the indexing of content and the functionality of the built-in search engine.

Then, I worked with staff to determine who could create this promotional video internally. Together, we interviewed stakeholders, potential users, and influential people in the field to create a product that generated awareness and excitement.

And, we met the launch date for the Archive.
